The best day of your life?

We’ve had plenty of celebrity cars for sale on Auto Trader.

Former F1 stars Martin Brundle and Damon Hill; The Who legends Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. Even the King of Jordan’s old Sierra Cossie popped up, much to our delight.

But although Auto Trader is a classifieds site, we had no idea that dealers could flagrantly usurp the rulebook and advertise alternative services, as we found out rather by chance yesterday.

Bentley Mulsanne, at a very reasonable £6,995.

But clicking the link and reading the last line as a separate sentence gives a clue as to why the former Leader of the Opposition announced his retirement:

‘Michael Howard MP. Ideal for weddings. £6,995.’
