It was a sure bet against Russia last Wednesday – but that went horribly wrong.

And a week of misery for British sport culminated in the Sunday afternoon Brazilian Grand Prix debacle which saw rookie Lewis Hamilton robbed of his chances to become world champion in his debut season.
In a bid to climb out of the desolate hole of gloom the nation seems to be wallowing in, I looked up a few British success stories and found something we can all wax lyrical about – British sportscars.
Looking at owner reviews of the awesome Lotus Elise, the mind-blowing Noble M12 and the truly astonishing Westfield Roadster confirmed that us Brits love lightweight sportscars.
