Film and TV cars wait in the wings on Auto Trader

Our round-up of brilliant cars from the early 1970s got us wondering which other film and telly cars we could find on Auto Trader.

Remember the Mustang Nicholas Cage steals last in Gone in Sixty seconds? Since the movie a dedicated bunch of designers have produced replicas of the grey beast with black racing stripes, affectionately named Eleanor.

The painstakingly produced £40,000 ‘stang has an all-American supercharged V8 and a character the size of Texas.

Ever dreamed of power sliding a US cop car? I certainly did while watching Die Hard 4.0.

This fully kitted out NYC Crown Victoria is one car which will turn heads more than a Lamborghini. Just don’t get carried away and start trying to arrest people.

In a recent episode of the hit US show Entourage, main character Vincent Chase buys an Aston Martin DB9 for three of his friends. Now that’s what I call generosity.

If any other movie stars feel like splashing out on the ultimate gifts, there are 119 Aston Martin DB9s available on Auto Trader right now.

Prices start at £65,000 for a 2004 car and go all the way up to £127,000 for car with just 100 miles on the clock.

During a Radio One interview with Chris Moyles this morning, Irish TV personality and comedian Patrick Kielty mentioned he is hunting high and low for a DMC DeLorean, just like the one from Back to the Future.

Unfortunately no one has this rare car advertised with Auto Trader at the moment, but we hope he keeps checking back.

Which film cars would you love to own?

  • Eleanor’s one beautiful machine and would certainly make my top five. The problem is with many cars that you don’t tend to think of wanting them or regarding them as day-to-day, like the Batmobile.

5 - Aston Martin Volante from The Living Daylights
    4 - Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger
    3 - Eleanor
    2 - 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 from Bullitt
1 - Aston Martin DBS from Casino Royale
