The BMW X5 has become the most popular car among Auto Trader users searching for a used off-roader.

There were more searches for used X5s in September than Range Rovers (which used to be number one), Land Rover Discoverys or any of the other top off-road cars.

The X5 first went on sale in 1999 and quickly became a hit with buyers. We’ve also had X5′s on sale from celebrities including Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Bruno.
