We got interested when images of a possible Vauxhall Vectra VXR ‘Quattro’ turned up on the Auto Trader desk.

Rumours circulated suggesting the Luton-based manufacturer was testing a new four-wheel-drive Vectra variant fitted with a hot twin-turbo engine.

A four-wheel-drive twin-turbo Vectra? We had to ask…

Unfortunately, Vauxhall denied the rumours and stated it “has no intention of producing a four-wheel-drive Vectra”.

He noted there could be a possibility in the distant future but no concrete plans had been put into place.

What do you think about the idea? Would you buy a four-wheel-drive Vauxhall Vectra VXR?

  • i think it would certaintly be interesting to see, would definatly be a car worth test driving

  • I since heard that there will be a 4wd version. Great stuff. I tow a boat regularly and don’t want a truck based 4wd due to the poor emissions. THis is just what I need. Hope it has adjustable suspension a-la Audi Allroad!!
