An Italian panel has named the Lamborghini Reventon as the World’s Most Beautiful Automobile 2007.

The super-exclusive Lambo won the award for its sharp, angular looks and aerospace inspired ethos.

Lambo’s award adds to a host of car awards being dished out.

The funky new Fiat 500 was voted European Car of the Year, while Channel 5’s motoring programme Fifth Gear voted the stunning new Audi R8 as its car of the year.

And the Auto Trader Used Car Awards named the storming Ford Focus RS as the best overall used car – with Essex’s potent hatch taking the best hot hatch award too.
