We like big boots, we cannot lie

Christmas is coming so we’ve picked five cars with whopping great boots to to fill up with presents.

But take care not to overload your car – it’s a mistake all of us have made.

Vijay successfully immobilised a Vauxhall Cavalier with his worldly possessions:

I once fit two massive suitcases, TV, Hi-Fi, and a complete set of weights in the back of my dad’s Cavalier SRi Mk2, only to find that the rear wheels were scrubbing against the inside and the car couldn’t move. Needless to say, I ditched the weights and kept the Hi-Fi.

While Stuart probed the storage limits of a Peugeot 306:

I went camping with the other half a few years ago. Sadly she took far too much stuff. I managed to load everything in the back of my Peugeot 306 GTi-6, only to discover my bag of meagre possessions (toothbrush and spare pants) wouldn’t fit.

I then noticed the sidewalls on both rear tyres had perished so had remove said contents and re-pack them in a borrowed Mondeo.

Have you had any disaster while trying to pack your car?
