Yes TV fans – Knight Rider is back, and so is his trusty car, KITT.
The show returns in February in the US but while a trim young actor takes on the starring role from David Hasselhoff, the new KITT is no longer the sleek 82 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
A square jawed Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has taken the lead role.
The car certainly looks mean enough to pummel any villains back to the ice age. But to our eyes it looks more like the car the bad guys should be driving.
If we had had a say we would have liked to have seen a Mazda RX-8 or Nissan 350Z as the next Knight Industries Two Thousand, thanks to their svelte but macho on screen demeanour.
American’s are a patriotic bunch though – so surely the Corvette Z06 in black would have been the ultimate choice? It even has a perfect place for the red glowing lights to fit.
What car do you think should play KITT in the new Knight Rider?

Haha - Out of the three listed I’d ditch the first two in the context of Night Rider and take the Z06. It mirrors some of the characteristics of old Trans Am in styling and has that macho American stance, along with the sleekprofile KITT requires
Alternatively, what about the latest rendition of the Dodge Viper.
