1. It couldn’t be James May or Jeremy Clarkson because all four of them (Jeremy, James, Richard and Stig) are seen together too often
2. It couldn’t be Simon Cowell Because of the range of Talent shows he is on
3. I am pretty sure that it is not Russ Swift as he is more of a stunt man than a racer
4. It couldn’t be Lewis Hamilton because, if you have seen the back of the Stig, he is white and Lewis Hamilton is mixed-race/half-cast
5. I do not think that it is Tiff Needell as he is a Fifth Gear man, not a Top Gear man
6.I could not be Mark Blundell as the Stig looks fairly skinny and, no offence to Mark, he isn’t
7. I also do not think that it is Ellen MacArthur as there is something about the Stig that makes me think that it’s a man
8. THEREFORE MY CONCLUSION IS THAT THE STIG IS EITHER DAMON HILL OR BEN COLLINS!!!

A birdie from Mclaren told me that its Jonny Herbert…. He was doing some test driving for them on the car for this years F1 Season. Lots of respect for the man he is from Romford Essex my home town aswell! A true motoring icon.
How come nobody suggests F1 driver Jenson Button? Look at the image of the Stig as caught by flash through his helmet (google “the Stig unmasked”) and compare that with Button’s eyes and eyebrows. Looks like a match to me.
Having said that… I suspect the fellow who suggests whomever is available is the Stig makes sense logistically.
Still… the Stig seems to be consistently slender and of smallish build.
But I say Jenson Button.
