Lewis Hamilton came within a single point of winning the F1 title last year. Can the McLaren driver win the title this season?
His McLaren has looked quick in pre-season testing - Hamilton topped the times on two of the three days of testing in Spain last week. But rivals Ferrari and world champion Kimi Raikkonen have looked every bit as quick - and many people think they’re actually quicker.
McLaren are under increased pressure as investigations into last year’s spying scandal go on. There have been rumours about the future of Ron Dennis - McLaren boss and the man who nurtured Hamilton’s fledgling racing career.
Hamilton also has a new team mate to contend with in Heikki Kovalainen. The Finnish driver proved his speed by beating veteran Giancarlo Fisichella in his first season at Renault last year.
How will Hamilton fare this year? Can he become the first British driver to win the title since Damon Hill in 1996?

I think Lewis can be WDC but not sure if 2008 is the year. I don’t doubt his ability, but as superhuman as he is, the pressure on him to outdo last year’s phenomenal performance will probably lead to him making mistakes. I will certainly be cheering him on at every race, but I will be very nervous. Good luck Lewis, you deserve it this year.

Of course he could win, he’s talented, proved to be as fast as his main riavls, but I hope he doesn’t
I don’t lkie him, as I don’t like my fellow countryman Piquet Jr, I think both are too much “stars”, they’re not low profile, centered as Schumi was, or Hakkinen, or even Hill, so, if I had to choose one of the McLaren pair, I would support Heikki, for sure
