Alfa Romeo has just announced a hotter version of its stunning Brera coupe – the Alfa Romeo Brera S.
Alfa handed the keys to the gorgeous Brera over to British tuning gods Prodrive – who own Aston Martin – to fettle the new coupe for UK roads.
And this got us thinking – is the Alfa Brera the best looking new car on sale in the UK today?
Trackside’s Keith Collantine certainly thinks so: “Alfa Romeo turn out gorgeous cars with nonchalant ease. I find the Brera an even more attractive car than the 8C Competizione, and probably the best-looking Alfa since the pinstripe suit-sharp 155.”
And a quick scout around the editorial team unearthed some absolute stunners.
Deputy Editor Stuart Milne loves the Alfa Romeo 159 – but doesn’t think it measures up to his Toyota MR2; Adrian Hearn loves the Maserati GT; Andrew Goodwin adores the Porsche Boxster RS60; Dominic Sacco thinks the Aston Martin DBS is the best thing since the invention of one-minute microwave rice, and Vijay Pattni would sell his internal organs for an Aston Martin V8 Vantage RS on his drive.
To help you decide, we’ve rounded up the A-Z of dream machines – including the Pagani Zonda and Bugatti Veyron.
Do you think the Alfa Romeo Brera is the prettiest car on sale today?

The Brera is simply a work of art and the Brera S is the very best of that stable. Pound for pound there is nothing to touch it on the road. It now drives as good as it looks !
