Have you ever thought of adding more videos to your webpage to hold the visitors more involved? I just read through the entire page and it was quite nice but since I learn visually, I find videos to be more important. I enjoy what you guys are always up too. Hold up the great work. 22 years on and my Aug 87 Scirocco GTXi is still standing taller then ever before. My car rivals those modern sports cars today on the urban roads and the motorway! People often wonder what the HELL just passed by them! There is NO doubt that the MII Scirocco had truly set the stage. I am confident and convinced that my GTXi can even contend with the new Scirocco. Its dam good to know these guys at Wolfsburg are finally stepping outside the box in realising the Scirocco is the first and last name in PERFORMANCE AFFORDABILITY & ECONOMY!!! Would i buy a new Scirocco, well from what i have seen so far its proving itself up against the competition but i don’t think i will be parting with my GTXi anytime soon! I am waiting for Volkswagen to incorporate some design improvements more so on the rear end and if they do i will be on that forecourt like a bat outta HELL!!! So far the complete front end of the new Scirocco has made its mark but i really do believe they need to seriously bring the whole rear end in line to match! Cut to the chase i had written to Volkswagen early last year about the new Scirocco, oh and the letter was almost 13 pages long! I got a very positive reply lets hope they finally do consider me on the project…As far as i am concerned there has never been anything as UNIQUE as Scirocco, wanna stand out here is your chance.

In short yes I would. A very sensible buy unless you need the 4 doors otherwise go for the golf. This is the same price but I think will hold its value better. It is one sexy car and gets all the attention. Some great deals to be had and looking at http://www.scirocconet.co.uk it looks like white is the colour to have although personally the blue in the review tickles my fancy.

I have bought a Scirocco today and so far I love it. Drove it home in the snow but I felt very confident driving it. Traded a Mini Cooper S in no comparison. Can’t wait for the better weather so I can really drive the car to it’s capability.

It is a polished Golf – but a Golf GTi.
I’ve actually had one of these for a week and it’s a beauty. Goes like a train and would much rather have one of these than a GTi – which I’ve also driven.
For those of you saying it’s almost Audi TT territory price wise, well, what’s an Audi TT without it’s Sunday best – a Golf GTi.
The Scirocco also has ACC – Adapative Chassis Control, which was first used in the TT. TT buyers would do best to buy one of these instead and save a few quid.
TT is so yesterday.

Great looking motor, must agree with the comments that it looks better in the flesh. I’ve spotted the ‘standard’ ones on the road and must admit they’ve got a lot of road presence and look huge. This Studie R will look the dogs if they release it in this spec. Wonder if the Golf will get ths engine

I really had high hopes for the Scirocco and found it wanting. The design is not special enough, the interior is just polished up golf and the price is crazy. As Robert has just said, to build a decent spec Scirocco, you need 27 grand. With that sort of money in my pocket, I would be looking at Focus RS, better car and change! I could also look towards the Vauxhall which i feel, despite the fact the design is 3 years old, looks better and more modern. Or I could go out and by a Golf, which is almost as good, cheeper and my brother can get it the back!
I am afraid the scirocco is a resounding no from me.

Ordered mine a month ago, and it arrived in the UK on Thursday.
I was lucky as the dealer had one on order, or I would have had to wait till Jan-Feb for a factory built one.
I should be getting it toward the end of the week, and I cannot wait!
Black, DSG, with leather, Sat-Nav, panoramic roof, and other extras brining the cost closer to the 27k mark, so not cheap!
Still, will be nice to drive a car that’s not too common, and although there are already some out there, I haven’t seen even one on the road yet!

When I first saw the car it reminded me of the Nissan Sunny I learnt to drive in back in the 90s. Then I saw this… http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews53171.html … See what I mean? I know it’s being advertised at 20k but by the time you’ve raided the options list (5k needed to make any VW seem special) you’re into TT territory.

So, I guess it’s a “no” from me.

Ordered mine in August without even seeing the car. When I finally received a phone call to take the newly arrived demo car out for a test drive, I breathed a large sigh of relief. In the same colour as mine, Salsa Red, it looked amazing. Oh, and it drives superb as well. Unfortunately, I am still awaiting shipment, as no one is buying cars, I have to wait for the container ship to fill up before it will set sail. Roll on sometime soon?!

This is an amazing car! I’ve had mine now for 3 weeks, done over 2000 miles already and loved every minute of driving it. The amount of attention that it gets is unbelievable! New adaptive suspension settings really work well, in sport mode you can really feel that the car is more responsive. Has to also be one of the most comfortable cars out there, leather seats are very supportive. Touch screen sat nav works fantastically. Getting mid thirties mpg already. Engine pulls very strongly and is coupled with a very addictive exhaust note. Definitely a car to recommend without any doubt!

Ordered mine on the 2nd September in Candy white for delivery sometime in December .Have owned and driven loads of cars–this is absolutely amazing!!I am really excited .Has to be seen in the flesh and of course driven! Roll on Christmas 2008!

I realy cant make up my mind with the Scirocco – its looks are very nice but the interiors abit lame, and the car does bear abit of resemblence with vw’s Audi A5. But Id like this car more and vw for that matter, if they realeased the car in the concept colours – id love a tiguan in that bronze colour with the orange rims but its not out in that colour – nor the rims/wheels for that matter

Personally – i think its a Nice return for the Scirocco tho – but i did see one in blue driving up the m6 sometime in early August and it did look rather nice then

Cant make my mind up about this car. On the VW site the car looks drab. But in the pictures on here it looks exciting. The one differrence I can see is the colour of the car. (Clearly dont buy this car in white it doesnt do anything for the car)

Also disapointed by the choice of colour for the interiors in leather. Its either jobby come korma brownish seats (yuk) or black (how boring!). Why not have screaming red leather (fab in silver, black) like they have in the TT. Or even grey, nice with the blue, or ivory for the black cars and even the blue ones.

Whilst on the choice of colours, who in their right mind will select the minty green metalic one? Mmmmm. Its simply awful. I think the shade comes from the couch in the tv serries Terry and June, yeah that old! Come back yellow all is forgiven!

Also there is a lack of choice for wheels. I think the wheels could easily be better. You vil have zice veels or you vill be shot. They look a bit fussy and I think detract from the design.

Hifi’s are as usual expensive and I would personally remove and replace with a double din unit at 1/2 the price, which would include ipod and sat nav.

I cant help feeling VW put a lot of effort in initially to designing this car, then when it came to execution they couldnt be bothered or simply the manufacturing budget didnt extend past a packet of crisps.

I Love the panoramic sunroof and I think its the best value option. And at the £600 mark is good value.

I am a little swayed on this car, having seen the picture of the car in blue metalic. I have to say my first choice was black. I say Im swayed because I loved my corrado. It was a brilliant car and super reliable. This car doesnt advance from that old design.

Vw replaced the corrado with the Noddy TT. (can’t you just see the similarity of the old convertible TT ‘s to noddys car?)

I could never warm to the old TT, it looked too much like a squashed beetle. The new one is better looking and doesnt look like it suits Noddy like the old one.

I have yet to view the sirocco in the flesh. On paper it seems to be an economical hotish hatch.

But it looses a lot of practicality to the golf GTI. Also the golf gti has the new higher performance 2.0t engine and has 30 more bhp, with little or no impact on fuel.

And to be honest this bit annoys me. Why isnt this higher performance engine in the scirocco? It doesnt make sense.

I would like to see the higher powered 2.0t engine in this car. But no doubt VW will throw the Vr6 engine in. Which basically will add weight, muck up the handling and will only give you 0.5 sec quicker to 60. Its such a lazy brute that engine.

It seems to me this car is a bit muddled. Decide VW is this car a wilder golf variant, or another type of Golf experience?

I believe that the Scirocco looks very like the poor relation next to the TT. Its cute but slightly muddled brother.

I was looking for it to wipe the board on the TT. But I think this car has been intentionally de-designed to protect TT sales.

What a marketing blunder VW. Let me tell you a secret people buy the Audi model because of the snob image of the badge. Smart people buy the VW version because they dont need a badge on their car to feel important.

I thnk this car should have been named the VW compromised. It just isnt the bad boy brother of the Golf that it should be. I really wanted to be seduced by this car, but its not happening.
