Custom car builders Kahn have revealed their latest creation – a 300bhp Range Rover Sport with an engine tuned by Cosworth.

But for less money you can get the more powerful Range Rover Sport 4.2 V8 HST (below). So which is the better buy?

Engine 3.6-litre V8 4.2-litre V8
Power 300bhp 396bhp
Price £75,995 £63,700 (on the road)

Kahn has fitted the Cosworth Sport 300 with enormous 22-inch wheels and an aggressive body kit. But will its dramatic front bumper reduce the off-roading capability of the Range Rover? Does it matter?

We drove the Range Rover Sport in September and web editor Adrian Higgins heaped praise on the car:

The combination of traditional luxury brand and high performance is a very attractive one and Land Rover has pulled it off with aplomb.

So which would you have – the Kahn Cosworth Sport 300 or the Range Rover 4.2 V8 HST? Or one of its rivals…

Great idea – looks superb but that front end is too boy racer. Suggest Kahn mimicks the Arden front end which is soooo stylish.

From comments above sounds like people have got no taste whatsover……..i think the Kahncosworth looks alot better the 4.2 HST. its not just about
engine size… but the looks are important too.

And the Kahncosworth has got it all………

In Germany Afzal Kahn is regarded as a design king.

I am shocked that the British people do not appreciate him. Maybe he should live in Germany and design German cars.

The Kahn Cosworth is a fusion of 2 world-renowned British Motor Companies:- Cosworth, who’s brand is famous for performance engine design and Project Kahn, famous for bodywork and accessories for high-end vehicles. The heart of the car; the engine, has been designed by one of the biggest names in the business and the car itself has been customised by one of the bigest names in automotive modification.

We seem to lose focus on the fact that this car is BRITISH. The aggressive aerodynamic styling package has been highly based around impressions of the older Cosworth-designed cars from the 80′s and 90′s. The interior brings a modern touch to the car, with a massive range of accessories available from Kahn Design.

I would love to be in a financial position to buy one of these and I will stand up and be counted at the launch this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Possibly the most talked about car this year, but nobody has a nice thing to say about it! Shame!

    Proud to be British!

Seriously though, take off that front lip spoiler and it would not be so bad tbh.

    Still…..you pays your money etc….

    Good laugh!

Atleast the guys at Khan had the balls to go for it.

You guys should be supporting the British motor industry.

Some of the comments show how bitter some people are!

Just buy a proper Range Rover for under £70k and enjoy the admiring looks or buy a Discovery(sorry,Range Rover Sport) and “wish” you had a proper Range!!

The front end is absolutely grotesque and does not suit the lines of the car one bit. I feel embarrassed for Cosworth that their great name has been put against something so hideous to look at.

Anyone who buys one of these truly has more money than sense (and taste).
