The greatest ever comic book movie finally makes it to DVD – The Dark Knight - has been released and features Christian Bale as the brooding scourge of Gotham’s criminals, with the late Heath Ledger as his arch nemesis, ‘the Joker’.
And this new-look Batman showcased a completely new-look Batmobile too – the 5.7-litre V8-engined ‘Tumbler’.
It divided fans when it featured in 2005′s Batman Begins – described in the film as a ‘black tank’ – breaking the mould of the rocket-styled Batmobiles of earlier films.
And the ‘Tumbler’ is a far cry from the original Batmobile of the 1960s too – Adam West and Burt Ward drove a custom-built Batmobile which was based on a Ford concept car called the ‘Lincoln Futura’.
But which is best Bat-fans? Jolly, jet-powered or juggernaut?

My vote goes to the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman, that was what a Batmobile should look like: power and style that didn’t look more like it came from a battlefield
