Christmas came early for our Clubman

We took on the challenge of squeezing a seven foot Christmas tree into a Mini Clubman.

We tried sliding the tree through the sunroof, through the side windows and across the back seats – which didn’t work.

This got us thinking – what’s the smallest car you can fit a tree in?

Haynes has just published a guide to carrying large loads in your car, which offers advice on transporting Christmas trees.

This inspired us to come up with as many ways to fit a Christmas tree inside the Clubman as possible.

First we bought the biggest tree we could find, and used our used car haggling tips to get a £35 tree for £30.
