A new test car arrived at the Auto Trader offices this morning: we’re running a Mercedes-Benz B 180 CDI Sport. It’s got a six-speed manual gearbox, 17 inch alloy wheels and all the airbags and cupholders you cou could wish for.
So far, so ordinary. But here’s the controversial bit: it’s brown.
We all know a car’s colour has a massive effect on its resale value. Blues and silvers tend to hold their value well – but drab old brown makes buyers run a mile.
Is it ever acceptable to buy a car in brown? Take a look at our gallery of chocolate-coloured motors, including one that’s likely to hold its value better than most: the Bugatti Veyron Hermes edition.
