Some UK insurers have warned car insurance premiums could rise by 20 per cent this year, according to a report by The Daily Mail.

We found one motorist who was paying £404 for his car insurance, and helped him cut £175.70 from his bill using Auto Trader Compare.

How much are you paying for car insurance?

The increase in premiums is being blamed on personal injury claims and insurance fraud.

These claims could push the average premium with a full no-claims bonus from £400 to £440 per year.
