Audi’s sales are rocketing – the company reportedly sold one million cars last year, and is one of the most profitable carmakers in the current crisis.
But are they cool?
For years, Audi has battled BMW to claim the crown of ‘ultimate sports saloon’, extending the fray into SUVs, roadsters and V8-powered coupes.
Yes – a certain Mr Clarkson recently derided Audi drivers, claiming that finally, buying a BMW is a good idea.
And the Munich manufacturer certainly makes a good case for itself – there’s the V8-powered M3 powerhouse, the sleek BMW 6 Series, the stunning new BMW Z4 roadster, and the Godfather of the super-saloon segment…the 507bhp BMW M5.
But Audi is packing heat too – the sensational new Audi TT RS is set to make its debut at the Geneva motor show, the RS4 finally showed the world Ingolstadt can produce a great handling small saloon, the Audi Q5 and Q7 are massive, stylish SUVs, and the new S5 is a beautiful Teutonic performance coupe.

Which do you prefer – Audi or BMW?

BMW, but it’s a shame they don’t galvanize their cars, Audi do.
BMW! definitely BMW they are way cooler than Audis, the only reason you buy an audi is if you think your being cool. BMW owners know they made the right choice every time they drive their ‘ultimate driving machine’
BMW RULE!!!
That,s two VW engines in the Veyron then heh? Nothing unique about Audis.
