Was attempting a bit of a ‘Top Gear’ style critique there, note slight sarcasm at the end! I’m sure having driven one I would willingly sell one of my kidneys to buy one.

Though no one will take any notice (and who would), I was thinking you could get a fully loaded 2006 Audi RS4 for a few grand less than one of these. The money you saved could pay for like 3 years running costs or an extended warranty. I prefer the shape of the RS4 and its probably as practical and got a helluva engine note!

Or buy a restored 80′s Quattro and a Duran Duran album and burn round pretending your Gene Hunt…

I find it to be a good settlement of sportiness and the premium badge bit you mention. To some people the latter is worth something. If you need pure performance at reasonable prices then we agree, this is not the car you are after. I find the autotrader review to be accurate and honest, it highlights all the good and bad stuff
