This two-seat Maserati GranTurismo S arrived at Auto Trader today. Not only does it look utterly ferocious, but its caterwauling 4.7-litre V8 engine can push it to 183mph and 0-62mph in sub-five seconds.
Web editor Adrian Higgins is at the wheel of the beast and found the gear controls surprising at first – much as I did with the Quattroporte. A simple dial offering the choice between ’1′ and ‘R’ is all you’ve got to select gears with – though you can also take control with steering wheel-mounted paddles.
The GranTurismo rides on optional 20-inch Neptune Grigio Wheel Rims. The paintwork is black (‘Nero Carbonio W.B.’) and so is the interior. Full leather interior and titanium brake calipers complete a vision of elegant power.
