The Focus RS might be the Ford that’s getting everyone excited at the moment, but there’s plenty to entertain with its smaller brother – the Fiesta Zetec-S Mountune.
It’s half the price of the RS, but certainly doesn’t seem half the car.
Ford has passed modification duties to tuning company, Mountune, which has supplied a new induction system and exhaust, along with a remapped ECU, boosting power by around 20bhp over the standard Zetec-S.
And at £1,300, the mods seem like the bargain of the year, especially as it can be retro-fitted to existing Ford Zetec-S models by your friendly local Ford dealer.
We’re loving the white paintjob, but the boom from the exhaust was certainly a lot louder than we had expected. Early indications of it are looking favourable with it seeming to have the character of a loud ‘n’ proud streetfighter, but time will tell whether that’s just too wearing on a daily basis.
