The Frankfurt Motor Show opened today and the world’s motoring journalists are ogling glamorous new models like the Lamborghini Reventon Spyder, Aston Martin Rapide and Rolls-Royce Ghost.

This exotic metal stands cheek-by-jowl with the kind of cars that are more realistic propositions for the rest of us – the new Vauxhall Astra and Mini Coupe, for example.

    I have to agree with you there, it would have made a big difference if it was 4 wheel drive, like the 4 motion golfs.

    I love volkswagen, and they have made an exceptional collection of golfs, mk1 to the mk5.

    This golf looks more like the scirocco and has the same look allover (short nose wide cockpit). I do like the look of the scirocco and the new golf but both look far too simular.

  5. only if the golf was 4 wheel drive, i know it is still better than the ford rs but 4 wheel drive would have given the edge that the golf truly deserves, and for the performance tuners the golf would have been the ultimate killer, 265 bhp standard get it remap u looking at 330bhp and if the golf was 4 wheel drive, ultimate machine, jap killer.
