A new “X-crossing” has just opened in Oxford Circus, London.
Road traffic stops in all directions to allow pedestrians to cross in eight directions – straight ahead and diagonally.
It’s already Britain’s busiest diagonal crossing and cost the taxpayer a hot cross £5 million to setup.
And London Mayor Boris Johnson yesterday opened the Tokyo-influenced crossing by striking a giant cymbal.
It’s hoped the new junction will ease overcrowding by allowing twice as many people to cross at once. We think it’s an X-cellent idea, but a bit messy when all those shoppers get to the middle.
What do you think of London’s new X-crossing?

these reviews are all very well, but although they are informative, but they do not replace the performance and specification facilities which the site had previously. who decides on these so called improvements i wonder, in what way is it considered better to give less information in order to help you to decide on which car to buy. if it ain;t broke………..!

What a useless forum. Where’s all the stuff about online scams and people buying cars that don’t exist? Are you looking so hard for good news stories to cover up the bad news and stop us talking about it?
