RE: Pickup Trucks
Are we still just talking about performance here? Surely other considerations should be the focus of what makes a wee car great.
I’m talking about emissions, carbon foot prints. All of these tidy wee motors are of the same ilk. The corvette ZR1 is not listed because it is an environmental abomination. Cars like this should be taxed to the max. If people are not discouraged from destroying our planet one step at a time then we are all doomed. And we all know it.
Environment at all costs? No. But we are talking about inner city cars here and we would all breathe a little easier if there was a little less contamination.
The iQ for being so innovative. Otherwise anything from this list as long as its not the hateful (and almost certainly unreliable) Peugeot.
The astra is complete rubbish. In no way competes with any other manufacturers in its class even the hyundai i30 is better.
According to me Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the winner of the year. The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the most thrilling car I have ever driven. The acceleration produced by the 638 hp supercharged V8 is almost beyond the scope of human comprehension.
The exact same can be said of the Astra; it has smaller engines than rivals whilst still delivering more power and better economy. Then it has the best interior by far. I have driven the Astra, Focus and Golf and have to say the Astra is the best car in it’s class.
I would agree with you Soulja, but if you compare the astra with other competitive cars such as the golf, focus, meganne and other strong competitors you will see that the astra has no strong selling point in its class whereas the polo offers a fantastic new 1.2 litre tsi petrol engine that produces 105bhp and a very good fuel consumption whereas other competitive cars can only match the same figures of power with bigger engines such as 1.6l which means similar power but with much less efficiency.in addition to that the cabin quality of the polo could be best in class too since the quality of the cabin feels much higher than other cars in that class.
I think the Astra should have won.
Last year the Insignia beat the Fiesta,
which is by far better than the Polo
and the Astra is better than the Insignia,
therfore the Astra is better than the Polo.
It’s that simple.
