Drivers in Plymouth are being watched by a new mobile spy camera.
The Devon and Cornwall Safety Camera Partnership is using a Toyota IQ fitted with a telescopic camera system to look for drivers committing traffic offences such as jumping red lights and talking on the phone while driving.
They chose the IQ for its compact size and manouevrability. The specially-adapted car is fitted with a pole that rises from the roof with a camera attached.
The pictures from the camera can be viewed from inside the car.
A spokesperson for the camera partnership denied the new car was designed to increase revenue from fines.
Have you seen one of the new camera cars on the road? Do you think this is a good way to make sure drivers don’t break the law? Leave a comment below.

Clever! A little Big Borther-ish, perhaps, but a very innovative futuristic little idea!
