Special-edition Mito for Maserati

Alfa Romeo Mito Maserati

Maserati has teamed up with Alfa Romeo to create 100 special-edition Mitos.

The limited run will be dispatched to Maserati dealers across Europe to be used as courtesy cars.

The special-edition supermini is powered by a 170bhp 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo engine. Each car features, 18-inch alloys, a rear spoiler, Pelle Frau leather interior, a special plaque on the centre console, ‘Alfa Romeo for Maserati’ sill plate and, of course, Maserati Blu Oceano paint.

Last year Fiat supplied Ferrari with a run of special-edition 500s for use by its dealerships. The cars proved so popular that some were even produced for sale to the public.

What do you think? If you were the proud owner of a six-figure supercar, would you really be happy with a supermini as a courtesy car?

I think the Mito is a lovely new Alfa. When it comes to courtesy cars, that’s exactly what it is, so I don’t think it would bother anyone that much as it’ll only affect a week or so of their driving lives.
