Aston Martin DB5 1964
Hot on the heels of an abandoned Jaguar XJ220, this 1964 Aston Martin DB5 is expected to sell for £200,000 at Bonhams’ Monte Carlo auction on April 30.
The left-hand drive classic is estimated to need another £200,000 in restoration, having spent the last 20 years sitting in a barn.
Only 983 DB5s were made at the factory in Newport Pagnell, Bucks, from 1963 to 1965. It became famous for being the first Bond car, in Sean Connery’s Goldfinger.

Just insane to not know that this is sitting in your barn…
well i don’t think that Aston in this condition will cost 200K you need to add about 100K for the repairs, and who on earth would abandon a DB 5 ???There were only 1000 of them made
I would love to have found this, does the finders keepers rule not apply here, ha ha! Saying that I don’t think I’ve got £200k lying around for the repairs either.
Seriously though, does the person that found the car get the proceeds from the auction?
I wonder who will buy this!
I’d think I would rather have a new DB9
