Renault urged to drop Zoe name

French carmaker Renault is again facing criticism over plans to christen its new electric car Zoe.

Parisian Zoe Renault, 23, has hired lawyers to persuade Renault to drop the name of its all-electric Renault Zoe ZE (zero emission). “I could not bear to hear: ‘Zoe’s broken down’ or ‘We need to get Zoe overhauled’,” she told Le Parisien newspaper. Continue reading →

Mini E Race laps the Nurburgring

Mini E Race

A tweaked version of Mini’s electric car, called the Mini E Race, has lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 9:51.45 minutes.

In doing so, the BMW Group has become the first manufacturer to lap the infamous circuit with an electric car at race speed.
