Auto Trader has just taken delivery of an all-singing, all-dancing, brand-new Lexus IS-F – the car Lexus hopes will tempt buyers away from the German trinity of the BMW M3, Audi RS4 and Mercedes C63 AMG.
First impressions? Awesome.
We’ve had a Vauxhall VXR8 delivered just in time for the week’s torrential rain.
That wouldn’t be a worry in a normal car, but the VXR8 is a 6-litre V8-engined thundersaloon pumping more than 400bhp through the rear wheels.
And that means driving it can be a little hairy in the wet.

Our assistant editor Stuart Milne is away at the launch of the new Toyota Land Cruiser and just texted this update to us:
I’ve just flown out to Fuertaventura to drive the Toyota Land Cruiser V8 flagship model – a nice change from wet and cold Blighty! The luxury SUV has been brilliant on the island’s rugged mountains.
The scenery is pretty special too. You can forget about the Canaries being all beer and beaches – it’s stunning out here! Watch out for the full verdict on the car later this week.
